Das war’s mit Cassidys entspannten Ferien am See, auf die sie sich schon so gefreut hat. Sie hat nämlich ziemlich schräge Eltern. Diese schreiben über Geister und haben ihre eigene Geistershow. Dafür reisen sie an verschiedene Orte, um dort den Geistern nachzuspüren. Cassidy muss in ihren Ferien natürlich mitkommen, anstatt gemütlich die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Nur gut, dass ihr bester Freund Jacob dabei ist, das erleichtert vieles für sie. Auf der anderen Seite verkompliziert es die Sache aber auch, denn Jacob ist ein Geist, den außer ihr keiner sehen kann.

Als sich dann auch noch andere Geister für Cassidy zu interessieren beginnen, sie einer Geisterjägerin begegnet und aufgrund der Bösartigkeit eines weiblichen Geistes selbst zu einem Geist wird, ist die Verwirrung perfekt.

Der Beginn der Trilogie ist spannend, fesselnd, berührend und absolut lesenswert!!!

Als Draufgabe gibt es noch einen Buchtipp für Fans der englischsprachigen Literatur:

FIVE FEET APART 

“Five feet apart“ is the first book by Rachael Lippincott and it is a co-production with the scriptwriters Mikki Daughtry and Tobias Iaconis. The book is a bittersweet romance about a young Girl called Stella and her disorder- cystic fibrosis and how she still tries to live her life as normally as possible. 

Stella is a CF patient and a control freak. She has control over everything in her life except her lungs, which are only 35% functional. And in order not to blow her chance of a transplant, she must always keep three steps/five feet/two metres away from other CF patients at all times and in all places. But then Will comes into her life, another CF patient, only with the difference that he doesn’t care about anything, apart from getting out of the hospital as soon as he turns eighteen. And as fate would have it, the two of them turn each other's heads. 

When I started reading the book, I had some preconceptions because I had already seen some clips of the movie on social media, but after only a few pages I was captivated by the book and ended up reading it in one sitting. 

So, if you are looking for a nice and easily-readable English book you should definitely try this one!
